Welcome to Knoself

These Terms of Service (hereinafter referred to as “these Terms”) are an agreement between you (hereinafter referred to as “user” or “you”) and the Knoself Team (hereinafter referred to as “we”) regarding your use of the Knoself iOS app (hereinafter referred to as “the app” or “Knoself”) and related services.

Important notice: Please read these Terms carefully. By using the app, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. About us

Knoself is a time tracking app designed for iOS.

No account system: No registration required. Ready to use.
Local first: Data is stored on your device by default.
Optional sync: Data can be synchronized through your iCloud account.

2. Nature of service and data ownership

2.1 Your data belongs to you

Core commitment: We cannot access any of your record data. All time records, journals, goals, and similar data are stored in:

Your iOS device locally.
Your iCloud account if sync is enabled. We do not have servers for storing your personal content data.

2.2 Service availability

Although we strive to provide stable services, due to force majeure, network conditions, or fluctuations in Apple services such as iCloud or the App Store, we cannot guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted 100% of the time.

3. User rights and responsibilities

3.1 Your rights

Full control: You can export, share, or delete all data in the app at any time.
Privacy protection: You enjoy all privacy rights described in the Privacy Policy.

3.2 Your responsibilities

Data backup: Because we do not store your data, please back up regularly, such as using iOS system backup or iCloud sync, to prevent data loss caused by device loss or damage.
Judgment before active sharing: When you share data from Knoself to third-party apps, especially third-party large-model apps, please confirm whether the content includes privacy, health, financial information, trade secrets, other people’s personal information, or other sensitive content, and bear the risks after sharing.
Compliant use: Do not use the app to create, copy, publish, or distribute information that violates laws or regulations.

4. Intellectual property

App copyright: The design, code, and UI of the Knoself app belong to the Knoself Team.
User content: The copyright to all content you create using Knoself, such as text and images, belongs to you.

5. Third-party services and SDKs

To provide analytics and crash monitoring services, the app integrates the following third-party SDKs:

Umeng Analytics SDK
Bugly SDK

For the specific data collection and use rules of these SDKs, please refer to our Privacy Policy. In addition, the app relies on iCloud and App Store services provided by Apple, and their terms are governed by Apple’s relevant agreements.

6. Reflection with third-party large-model apps

Knoself supports sharing your time records, micro journals, exported content, or reflection prompts to third-party large-model apps you choose, so you can review from different perspectives, such as “Three Things” or KPT (Keep / Problem / Try).

You understand and agree that:

Active sharing: Knoself will not automatically send your records to third-party large-model services in the background. Relevant data leaves Knoself only when you actively copy, export, screenshot, use system sharing, or open a third-party app.
Third-party rules: Content you share to third-party large-model apps will be processed by that third-party app and its service provider according to their privacy policy, terms of service, and model training policy. Some third-party services may use input content for model training, product improvement, manual review, log retention, or security risk control.
Careful choice: Before sharing, please read the privacy policy and data use notices of the third-party large-model app. If you do not want certain records to be processed by third parties or potentially used for training, please do not share those records.
Results are for reference only: Summaries, reflections, suggestions, classifications, or analysis generated by third-party large models may be inaccurate, incomplete, or biased. You should decide for yourself whether they are applicable.

7. Disclaimer

Data loss: If device-side data is lost because the user did not enable iCloud sync or did not back up, we cannot provide recovery services.
Third-party services: Data sync delays or errors caused by Apple iCloud service failures are outside our responsibility, though we will do our best to help investigate.
Third-party large-model apps: For data you actively share with third-party large-model apps, and for those apps’ storage, use, training, deletion, leakage, output results, or subsequent effects related to that data, we cannot control them and do not assume responsibility for actions by third-party services.
Not professional advice: Reflection content generated or assisted by Knoself or third-party large-model apps does not constitute medical, psychological, legal, financial, investment, or other professional advice. For professional matters, please consult a qualified professional.

8. Changes and termination

Changes: We may modify these Terms according to business development or legal and regulatory requirements. Major changes will be notified in the app.
Termination: You can terminate these Terms at any time by uninstalling the app.

9. Governing law and contact
